During the email migration recently, changes were also made to the webmail feature of our email. One of those changes is that you can now search the scsk12.org database for email addresses. I have created a step sheet for you to follow to do this. Download it below…

I found so many great websites this week, that I had to post them now instead of waiting until the end of the week! There are some great Valentine’s Day (oh la la) sites as well as many other great sites. I know you will find SOMETHING you can use with your students!

Several (aka MANY) teachers have been experiencing more problems with their laptops. While age (of the laptop, of course) is certainly a factor, the lack of routine maintenance is also an issue! I am attaching (once again) directions for running Software Update and the Disk Utility. Another tip for those of you who just put your laptop to sleep every day: RESTART! I find that my laptop will begin to run slow and do weird things when I go days at a time without shutting down or restarting my laptop. I think if you will do these things, you will extend the life of your laptop!

I know I don’t get to see all of you as often as I would like with my schedule. I just hope you know that I enjoy working with everyone of you and look forward to a new semester with you. While searching for the solution to a recent Entourage problem, I found this fascinating blog especially for Entourage users. While it appears that the creator uses Entourage 2004, many of the tips worked for me, too. (We use Entourage X!) Here is a link to the blog. Refer to it if you are experiencing Entourage problems – I bet your solution will be there somewhere!
